Integrated Controllers bring vital data into Aliquot to enhance the reporting capabilities for the software. To integrate a controller, ensure that you have access to the required information. Controller information may need to be updated from time to time to ensure that it continues to report data.
A controller is an electronic device that monitors and reports data between two systems. Using a modem, a controller can remotely monitor client data.
Aliquot integrates with the customer's controllers to bring additional data into the platform for additional graphing and trending across systems.

Required Information
To set a controller up in Aliquot, you will need the following information:
Controller Name - Add a name for your controller that make it easily identified.
Controller Serial Number - Enter the Controller Serial Number. Be sure this is the correct serial number for the controller itself and not any other hardware like the modem.
Make sure to input and confirm that the serial number on the controller matches the one in Aliquot.
Component Information - Select a component to assign to the controller such as a cooling tower or a boiler.
Connection Type - Choose the connection type to connect to your controller. This is typically and IP address or URL. This is how you will be able to log into the controller remotely from Aliquot.
Live Connections are for remote access and firmware updates. GPR are radio packets used on 2G and 3G. Phone utilizes dialup on old RJ11 phone lines. Certain customers run these older systems and should be aware of what they use onsite.
Data Type: Data type can be default or usage depending on how your controller is sending data. Some will send values as is “default” others will send the usage values. If you are unsure, just set to default, this can be changed later.
Manufacturer - Choose the manufacturer (e.g., Walchem, Prominent) and then save the controller. If you aren’t sure of the controller manufacturer type, please contact support.
Once the controller widget addition is completed, proceed to enable the Email reporting. The Controller widget should report data afterwards.
