Customer Ranges, Adjust Ranges, Set up tailored tests for Customers

Aliquot lets you customize component test ranges according to your needs and sends alarms to specific people for low or high alerts. If there’s an issue with your ranges, you can modify them. To quickly set up a customer, clone an existing profile, then adjust the ranges.

Accessing the Inventory Sections

  1. Log into Aliquot: Open the Aliquot Software Application.

  2. Navigate to Reports: Go to the Reports banner.

  3. Select Components & Tests

Under the Manage Components tab:

  • If a customer is selected, their test and component information will be listed.

  • If no customer is selected, the list will be blank (pictured below).

  • If blank, use the Filter Organization tab to get to the customer's system level.

    • Using Fin's Water Example, fill out to the system level.

  • Test Types and Components will appear at the system level.

    • The ranges are now editable.

    • Using Fin's Water Example's below, we can see the Component "Steam" has two Test Types, Record Temperature (F) and Record Heat[...].


Adjusting Ranges

Using Steam Temperature (F) as an example for Full Range, Auto Fill:

  1. Click on Edit.

  2. Go to Test Values section. Click on Range Type dropbox.

  3. Set Range Type to Full.

    1. Notice that Autofill Options, Level, Limit, and Message are now visible.

  4. Add in values to the ranges, either manually or with autofill.

    1. Manually add in Limits with increments of your choosing.

    2. Optionally, set your Start Value and add in equal Incremental Values

      1. In this example, we'll start at 212 degrees Fahrenheit for steam.

      2. We'll use intervals of 12 degrees F.

      3. Hit Autofill to automatically fill out the ranges.

      4. Start Value will start at the Very Low Alarm in Full range.

      5. You can manually edit Autofills

  5. Change the Messages for intervals as needed.

  6. Once finished, click "Submit Test" to save, or "Cancel" to discard changes.

  7. The Component (Steam)'s Test Type [Temperature (F)] Test Value of Range Type has been updated from recording only to displaying a full range of temperature records.


Partial Ranges, Manual Entry Example

  1. Edit the component's Test Type you want.

  2. Go to Test Values section. Click on Range Type dropbox.

  3. Set Range Type to Maximum or Minimum

    1. in this example, set the range type to Maximum.

    2. Manually input Limits, with non-equal increments.

      1. ignore Autofill as increments are not equal

  4. Add values to the Range

  5. Change messages as needed:

  6. Click on Submit Test to save, Cancel to discard.

  7. Visually check that the Component (Tower)'s Test Type [Temperature (F)] Test Value of Range Type has been updated from Record only to displaying Maximum Range.

If you cloned a customer and are editing components and tests for their account, please make sure you have the customer available under the Customers tab.


Go Customer List

Search for the account to make sure it's showing up.
