Pre-Setup Requirements
The controller must be reporting to AquaPhoenix. Please fill out a Controller Setup Form in order for this to happen. Controller Setup Form 2025.pdf
The system where the controller is being added must have a component to tie a controller to.
The Controller should be actively online and reporting
Adding a Controller
Navigate to the Customers section in the top navigation. Choose Customer Controllers
Make sure to have a system selected under the customer to manage controllers.
Click Create Controller to add a new controller
Controller Setup
Controller Name: Add a name for your controller that make it easily identified.
Controller Serial Number: Enter the Controller Serial Number. Be sure this is the correct serial number for the controller itself and not any other hardware like the modem.
Component: Select a component to assign to the controller such as a cooling tower or a boiler.
Connection Type: Choose the connection type to connect to your controller. This is typically and IP address or URL. This is how you will be able to log into the controller remotely from Aliquot.
Data Type: Data type can be default or usage depending on how your controller is sending data. Some will send values as is “default” others will send the usage values. If you are unsure, just set to default, this can be changed later.
Controller Manufacturer: Choose the manufacturer and then save the controller. If you aren’t sure of the controller manufacturer type, please contact support.
Click the Save Controller button
Controller Status
After the controller is saved, please allow up to 24 hours for the controller status indicator to turn Green. This means the controller data is available.
Status Colors:
Green - The controller has reported in the last 24 hours
Red - The controller has reported at least once, but not in the last 24 hours
Black - The controller data has not made it to Aliquot yet. If this controller should be reporting, please reach out to support to troubleshoot. Be sure the controller is online and able to email out.
Controller Data
If the controller status is green or red you should be able to click on the controller line item. This will open the controller details showing the inputs and the last result along with a date/time stamp.
Connecting to your Controller
On the controller line item, click on the controller connection icon. This will open a new browser tab taking you to the controller IP or URL as you entered it in the settings. Be sure the correct IP/URL is entered. If you do not get a controller login page, please contact support for troubleshooting.
