Trends Charting - All Users

Graphing and trending data helps users and admins review system data sets, identify trends, and confirm systems are working as expected. Templates let you efficiently reuse series and settings. If data is missing, adjust the input and regenerate the graph. Happy trending.

Getting Started

  1. Click Trends Charting

This will take you to Trends Report

  • Let's you generate graphs from data you select.

Filter Customers

  • Fill out to the system layer to bring up series data.

Series (Data from Reports or Controllers)

  • Choose your data source, component, and test data from System data.

  • Source can be reports or controllers

  • Add multiple series to the report with + Add Series.

  • Remove individual Series with the red circle with the X.

  • Start fresh with Reset Series button.

  • Click the Circle button next to the Series header to change the line color

Settings

  • Choose an existing template here.

  • Adjust the date range here for new or saved templates.

  • Auto Scale sets Date To to 30 days after Date From

    • Turn Auto Scale off lets you manually adjust the date range.

Manage Templates

  • Search for the wanted template.

  • Delete unwanted templates here.

Save as Template

  • Save your selected Series and Settings as a new template.

  • Name the template.

  • Optionally, set a Fixed Date Range to archive data from a specific range.

Generate Graph

After the customer system, series, and date ranges are filled out, click Generate Graph to plot data.

Controller Data example

Hover over the line to see the data point with date and time stamp

Click on the controller test line item to see a breakdown of the datapoints

After generating the graph you have other options:

Change Settings - this will take you back to the previous page to make any desired changes.

Export - export the data points to csv file.

Save Chart - will save the chart and legend to the Attachment manager under the current system.

View As HTML - this switches the chart view to a list view of the data points.

Graphing data lets you quickly review large system data sets, identify problem trends, and confirm which systems are working as expected. Templates allow efficient reuse of series and settings. If data is missing, adjust the input and regenerate the graph.
